FAQ
Is Neon still free for students in 2026?
Yes, as of Oct 21, 2026. 100 projects with 10 branches each, 1GB storage per project, 100 CU-hours per project, 5GB egress, Auth 60K MAU Always double-check the official page before relying on an offer — terms do change.
Do I need a credit card? How long does the Neon student offer last?
Yes — a card is required at some point in the flow (called out in Eligibility above). Duration: Permanent (the Free plan is permanent, not a trial)
What's the catch with Neon's student program?
The honest caveats: Permanent (the Free plan is permanent, not a trial). Student programs are usually limited to non-commercial use, may require yearly re-verification, and can be discontinued with little notice — that is exactly why this page exists. Verify on the official page before building anything on top of a free tier.
